The five focus areas include a book club related to a summer reading, project-based learning (PLB) and authentic application, how to give feedback to develop independent learners, student-led class discussions to aid in student agency and choice, and collaborative learning. He then took supplemental math courses at Mount Saint Marys University in anticipation of eventually attending graduate school for either Math or Economics. He later received an MS.ed in School Leadership from Fordham University in 2015. What have been your highlights so far? Biography: As a middle school and high school teacher, Mr. Hayden worked with at-risk students in Minneapolis and Washington D.C. before coming to Oxford Academy in the summer of 2003. When we had an ice cream van come to school because our break area was the tidiest in the school. These groups meet three or four times during the fall and winter to collaboratively lesson plan and analyze student work with the goal of creating an equitable classroom culture where student ownership is the norm. She has also been the Membership Coordinator at both Lyman Allyn Art Museum in New London and the Florence Griswold Museum in Old Lyme. My goals in life are to either become a voice actor, an actor, or an astrophysicist.
