Honorable mentions went to 13 students. The examination is a combination of Latin grammar, word derivations, mythology, Roman culture, and a reading comprehension. This opportunity exists for all students since, in the National Latin Exam, they are not competing with their fellow students on a comparative basis, but are evaluated solely on their own performance on the exam. With the National French Exam, students Iris Li, Natalie Parkinson and Daniel Xu received gold awards for scoring in the 95th percentile and above.
