I cannot recommend going on a hike through Romanian Friend enough. We are disappointed to not have done the hike and will definitely rebook with them if we revisit Romania! We booked this 2-day trip for our family with kids on pretty short notice through Romanian Friend. However, it is recommended to have good footwear and have a basis of physical form, both if you wish to go further up the mountain (there's gravel, rocks, possibility of actual climbing) and for the way down, which is strenuous and you are better of with at a good foothold. We couldnt have a better time if it wasnt for Bogdan and his knowledge of the mountains! We were treated to a warming dish of polenta and cheese with some amazing pork on the side.
