I had the exact experience today.

I think I'll try the method recommended here and see what ends up happening. I just wasn't thrilled when I got the email today offering me plastic lens in exchange for my glass lenses. thanks for the help Men. However, right now they confirm or deny your warranty work based on pictures you upload into the portal of the damage. In my experience theyve replaced mine like for like or close to it. So I ordered replacement lenses from Revant.

That wouldn't explain everyone else's issues with them though. They said In an email the model and replacement part was not available and offered a 30% off coupon for replacement. I have not sent any in in last year but will be soon. Ive been very pleased with their service and just got a replacement pair in today. So, I don't know if my only option is to decline the offer at this point. You didnt have to send them in? Hoping to receive a response back soon. Was wanting to send them in and get lenses replaced, willing to pay for both lenses. And like the others, always received a brand new pair in return. Was told not repairable. I'm really not interested in any of the glasses they're offering, either due to the plastic lens or the color. Be prepared to pick several backup pairsmy first two choices were on backorder. I recently sent in two pairs of fantails, one pair was at least the years old with a cracked frame and the other new I had just bought had a scratched lens. If they don't make the frame anymore they usually give me choices but I get glass for glass- plastic for glass is no Bueno. I fully expected them to not be covered under warranty. That said they could not replace in email. good luck - I've had prescription Costas and the warranty as well as they're customer service department was useless. But you still sell the Brines, not repairable. They sold out .. new ownership revised the warranty policy.. You didnt have to send them in? I put in a claim last night for my Blackfin frames coming apart. I have just dealt with this last week on their new warranty system. We will see how it goes. I have not checked the website today for my model, I only wanted to repair the lens for $80. Had a similar experience to KyleW. You paid for glass and they are usually $50-80 more than plastic. TexasBowhunter.com Community Discussion Forums, https://www.costadelmar.com/us/en/li-warranty.html, https://www.luxotticacustomercare.com/aftersalesctc, https://www.costadelmar.com/us/en/re-04012020.html, https://customersupport.luxottica.costadelmar.html. Sent 3 pairs in and 1 was 580G green mirror which they didnt offer as a replacement. I received an email today saying that it would be covered under warranty but my specific model is discontinued / no longer available so they would like to offer me a comparable alternative. Ive always had great luck with their warranty division!

I called took forever to get in touch with them.

I like a lot of the Oakley stuff but their fishing street cred isn't where it needs to be. The new plastic lens will scratch much easier and those scratches are not covered under warranty. This will be my last pair of Costas.

The new process is pretty strait-forward and I was updated by email along the way. I got a pair in March.. Hunt In: Camo (Leon County) - Knifemaker<><. This all happened last week. So I ordered replacement lenses from Revant.

They fell off my cap to the cement and broke right in the middle of the nose, between both frames. Was told not repairable. I've never had issues with their warranty service in the past and have sent several pairs in. Thanks for sharing the link to the chat, that was not easy to find. This will be my last pair of Costas. I cant complain.. I called before I accepted one of the offers and was told you need to accept an offer and print the shipping label. I'm guessing it's a different game on stock Costas possibly.

Is this something that would be covered by their warranty? The chat box took about 30 mins to load as I was 12th in line but it went quickly once I got someone on it. I would ask for something similar in glass lenses. But you still sell the Brines, not repairable. Also, for those asking - yes you do have to send them in. I have the exact pair that I've had to superglue (rubber ear pieces) several times. Hunt In: Junction/ Columbus/Shelby/Clinton,Mo. I broke a lens on my Brines. Another question on this; my pair was damaged on the frame holding the lens and finally came apart on me (my fault). I have a pair of 580G Brines that are being replaced under warranty. Can I send them in for a replacement pair of glasses ? Website says they have 5 business days to respond. There is also no longer a service fee for glasses under warranty like there used to be. I was not happy with the 4 or 5 choices they presented me with but chose one anyway and sent my damaged pair in yesterday. I have a pair of Costa Harpoons in 580 glass. After that you could call and make a change. I have submitted about 6 warranty claims to Costa over the years and have had yet to ever pay for more than the S&H fee they used to have. Cant beat that! No more Costas for me.. Thanks. This all happened last week. So I open up their offer (which is only good for two days) and there are only five glasses to choose from and they're basically other Corbinas with plastic lens except for pair with a yellow glass lens. I called took forever to get in touch with them. They always seem to just send a new pair with same glass. The process is a bit different now but I am still happy with their service. I had pulled up the Costa site and picked out which frames and lenses I wanted beforehand. I could have had the lenses replaced, but would have had to pay for them. I have used the costa warranty probably a dozen times and they have always just replaced with the exact same pair of glasses. Costa isn't going to fix them but replace them due to not having the same pair in stock. Hunt In: Voca, Jasper county, newton county and sabine county. I have always had to send them in first for them to evaluate though.

I wear Reeftons so no issue with a discontinued model. I was able to chat from my desktop for those that are wondering. Ive always had to send ours in as well. Following..I've got an older pair with glass lenses. I am curious if maybe your model is no longer offered and if that is why they offered you the replacement 30% off coupon rather than offering to repair the lenses, more curious than anything. In my experience theyve replaced mine like for like or close to it. I am in the market for new glasses now. Hunt In: Jewitt, TX or any where else I can find to go. If I remember right the website told me I'd have to pay 160ish to get them both fixed. Just my experience the warranty department isn't as relaxed as it once was. Was wanting to send them in and get lenses replaced, willing to pay for both lenses. I submitted my claim on the Harpoons that now have broken frames. A week or so goes by and they send me an email saying all I was being charged was 26 dollars! I also broke my 580G lenses last year but just replaced with some knock off plastic polarized from Amazon.

I sent mine in and they replaced the frames, not the lenses. They would not repair my lens but they did offer a 30% off coupon if I order online through them. It then gives you options such as replacement or substitution, if you accept this they send you a prepaid shipping label to send the glasses in. I broke a lens on my Brines. Makes me really wish I wouldve sent mine in a long time ago when they broke. An update on my warranty service with Costa: I just went through the online warranty process Friday for my Corbinas after the frame cracked above the lens. What is everyone going to now? I just went through this very thing. That said they could not replace in email. I wore the glasses 3 times .. they still had the white lettering inside saying what style they were.. one day I was visiting with my neighbor and the lense split in half.. didn't drop them or anything.. i sent in the pictures etc they wrote back saying they weren't liable and would gladly replace them for 187 bucks.. lmao .. i actually got a email this morning saying the offer expired. If they no longer carry that model, the chance of them having replacement lenses is slim to none. Anyone know what their policy is on this? Do you need a receipt? The glass lenses are still fine, but the metal on the frames has corroded; it's pretty ugly for high dollar shades.
